INDUSTRY NEWS: MAC VIVA GLAM TO DONATE $10 MILLION TO SUPPORT COVID-19 RELIEF

In an effort to help those affected around the world by the current COVID-19 pandemic, MAC VIVA GLAM fund is donating $10 million (USD), to over 250 local organizations around the world to help support vulnerable communities affected by this virus. Miley Cyrus, a past VIVA GLAM spokesperson will be announcing MAC’s COVID-19 relief efforts.  Kicking off the 2020 VIVA GLAM Campaign on her Bright Minded series that she created to connect people in isolation during the virus outbreak.
The additional support provided by MAC current partners will help provide services such as food delivery, medication support, testing and treating diagonised COVID-19 cases in vulnerable communities especially among the immuno-compromised.
MAC VIVA GLAM was created 26 years ago as a hardship fund for people in need and since 1994 the sales of MAC’s VIVA GLAM has been making a huge difference in the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS. 100 percent of the sales from it’s VIVA GLAM Lipsticks are dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities. “To leverage this 100-percent giving model to help people affected by COVID-19 is a continuation of the principles VIVA GLAM was founded on from its inception,”  John Demsey, chairman of the MAC Viva Glam Fund and executive group president of The Estée Lauder Companies, said in the statement.
