is teaming up with Korean fashion duo Steve J. and Yoni P. to introduce a unique K-pop inspired collection.  MAC has been a longtime sponsor of  the makeup for Steve J and Yoni P’s shows during Seoul Fashion week, so it was only natural they would be next in line for a collaboration. The husband-and-wife team known for their edgy style, brings their cheeky and progressive fashion vibe to the world of makeup.

Although the full product preview hasn’t been released yet, the collection features bright wearable colors, neon pinks, orange-reds, smoky warm neutrals and all comes in playful graphic packaging representing the heart and soul of Seoul street style and Yoni’s signature black eyeliner and blond hair.  There collection features a wider range of products from lipsticks including Spotlight Me (a light peachy nude), Yoni Crush (a  red-orange), a pearl varnish eye glosses, 2 eye shadow palettes, a lip and cheek palette, blushes, brushes and a makeup bag. The full MAC x Steve J. & Yoni P. collection will be available in store and online from June 1 – July 13th. #MACSJYP

New from MAC Cosmetics comes Metallic Lips! A matte, metal-plated lipstick look that is rich and vibrant in color and give the lips a metallic chrome finish.  The luxurious 18 shade collection comes in an array of full spectrum copper, bronze and titanium color-infused shades.  Some shades included are Zerocool a metalized emerald green, Jupiter a bronzed neutral, Nightly Ritual a blackened navy and Hades Fire a cool red burgundy.  The new MAC Metallic Lipsticks, $17 available on March 23 online and in-store.

The #MACStarTrek collection pays tribute to the sci-fi saga with this illuminating makeup collaboration from MAC Cosmetics and Star Trek. Bridging the gap on the final frontier Star Trek crosses generations, influences ideas and aesthetics of gender, race and intergalactic potential.

The cosmically hued 25-piece collection created in celebration of its 50th anniversary, is inspired by the strong women of Star Trek specifically Uhura, Deanna Troi, Seven of Nine and the Orion Girl, Vina, and includes products for lip, eyes, and face. The names of each product also celebrates the theme of Star Trek, with lip glass colors such as Warp Speed Ahead, a plum with blue and pink reflects and Khaaannnn! a berry with red reflect. Also eye shadows such as To Boldly Go a frost reddish copper pearl with sparkle and Bird of Prey a dark olive green pearl with sparkle.  The MAC Star Trek collection, ranges from $14-34 and will be available online on August 25, and in stores September 1.

The collection, a set of 12 pastel shadows featuring a unique creamy, bouncy texture that have a pearl or satin finish.  They feature shade names such as Bounce Around, Quite Yummy, Cushy Life and Must Be Lust to just name a few, which are just as tantalizing as the hue themselves. MAC Cosmetics is flipping the script when it comes to mascara, with it’s new MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash.  Going beyond the formulation of mascaras, MAC is now rethinking the way you apply it, with this mascara’s new flexible applicator wand. The never-before-seen wand can bend in all different directions, and is great for combating stick straight lashes, creating the ultimate lash.  Beauty Pros have been bending mascara applicators to coat the hard to reach inner lashes and lower lashes, but now with this flexible wand, it will allow you to move the mascara in various angles for easy application. The Pro Beyond Twisted Mascara, $22 comes only in black and available on April 21.


MAC Cosmetic’s newest collaboration with designer Chris Chang of Poesia  who puts an acid-soaked twist on her modern M·A·C collection, featuring a vivid kaleidoscope of cutting-edge color, all inspired by the ancient Chinese art form Kunqu.  “My inspiration comes from the traditional aesthetics of ethnic tribes and costumes from various countries, as well as the transformative world of art, said Chang. My designs are for women who are eccentric and confident. Color is the integral fuel of my imagination and the spirit MAC and I share. This collaboration is a dream come true for the maximalists of the world.

This collection will feature 14 products, including eye shadows, cream color base, a teal and yellow lipsticks, along with an intricately designed pressed powder compact. “When I first met Chris, I was immediately drawn to her vibrant personality and quirky, colorful and quite girly aesthetic. It was love at first sight!  Like all of our collaborations, Chris’s inspiration is infused in every aspect of the creation, from product design, shade selection, to campaign visual” – James Gager, MAC Senior Vice President/Group Creative Director.  The Chris Chang collection will be available in May 2016 in stores and online at #MACChrisChang


Dazzling women with timeless designs on the runway and red carpet for 13 years, Zac Posen has now moved into the beauty world with his debut limited edition color collection for MAC.  The collaboration is a long time coming, considering MAC has been working backstage at Posen’s runway shows for years. The collection is a mix of eye, lip, and cheek products, along with 2 brushes. Among the set is an orange-red lipstick, a liquid liner pen, and a 6 eye shadow set, with shades such as After dusk, a deep lilac, and Mauve Over, a soft mid-toned mauve.

“Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand and I have always wanted to create a makeup collection to complement my designs and brand,” said Zac . “I wanted to keep it luxurious, a little mysterious, and clean with a large dose of star wattage.”  The iconic packaging and square-handled contour and buffer brushes all bearing the designer’s namesake, and created with every detail that Posen adorns on the female form takes a new shape for the face.  The limited edition Zac Posen collection, $18-$43, will be available in stores and online Feb. 25.
