Seems like every where we look these days, glitter makeup is very on trend, from glittery eyes worn by Lady Gaga at the super bowl, to “glitter tears”, yes glitter tears. No longer confined to the realm of social media trends, glitter makeup made it onto the runways of NYFW Spring and Fall 2016 shows like Baja, Delpozo, and Alice + Olivia. Even celebrities are getting in on the glitter game, both Elle Fanning and Suki Waterhouse, were recently seen at the Saint Laurent show and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies respectively sporting glitter tears. Below are a few looks we have spotted that can easily be worn off the red carpet and runway, with recommended products, to achieve the looks.
Okaya Glitter Tears
Here are three variations on the Glitter Trears look. First Elle Fanning’s makeup artist created a smudged smoky eye with both gold and silver glitter added below the in a tear shape. http://tiffanyashleybooks.com/tag/amazon Make Up For Ever offers finely milled glitters in both gold and silver and a myriad of other colors, to help achieve this look. Suki Waterhouse’s looks is a little more subtle, created with gold glitter patted beneath the lower lash line in the shape of a tear. Lightly pat Bloemfontein MAC glitter in gold directly onto your foundation below the eye. Pro Tip: Add a thin layer of lip balm or chapstick to the area where you would like to apply glitter. The tacky surface is perfect for creating the glitter shape you desire.

From the Delpozo SS2016 show, packed on glitter onto the center of the lid, with heavier pigment closer to the lash line and blended out. Try OCC’s Cosmetic Glitters in Mirrorball, to mimic this look.
