This month in Los Angeles pro makeup artist, cult-favorite brand, Skindinavia invited top artists and industry leaders to come together to Celebrate Pro LA, and On Makeup Magazine was there to capture all the revelry for our readers.
In the midst of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood awards season, and on the eve of the IATSE Local 706, 2017 Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards (MUAHS), the Los Angeles professional makeup artist community came out in full force to celebrate their own, and the nominees of the MUAHS Awards, along with event hosts Allen Goldman, founder of Skindinavia and Deb Milley the brand’s Director of Brand Development.
“We feel it is so important for us to give back to the professional makeup artist community,” said Goldman, “The pro’s were the first ones to support us way back when and during times when we were struggling to stay on our feet. Knowing they supported our sprays has always been and continues to be a real motivation. We are so incredibly proud to support this community.”
Produced by Michael DeVellis and The Powder Group, the event drew top artists from literally every area of the industry to the iconic The Hollywood Roosevelt for the fete. Artists from film, television and theater, editorial, celebrity and red carpet all came together at the properties beautiful, Teddy’s Bar, which set the scene with it’s glowing architecture and chic, draped banquettes, all with a pulsing street-scape of Hollywood Blvd in the background.
