How did you get involved with Transparent?
I had worked on Jill Soloway’s movie, Afternoon Delight, in 2012 and we hit it off. I’ve been doing her hair and makeup for press and PR photos since then. About a year ago, she mentioned that she had been writing a TV show called Transparent. Jill has a kind of magic where as soon as she say she’s going to do something or make something, it happens. As soon as she told me about Transparent, I could not wait to be involved!
Do you have a favorite makeup look on the show?
It is really hard to pick a favorite. I think I liked putting Jeffery into his early ’90s Maura look the best. It was a combination of making him look younger with face tape, a little bit of tan and a ton of highlighter, and then on top of that some really fantastic blue eye shadow and wiggly eyeliner.
What are some must-have products in your trailer?
