How did you come to write 100 Days of Gratitude?
In January of 2018, I started reflecting on my life, and had deep gratitude for all the seen and unseen blessings. For years, I felt like something was in my heart that needed to get out and three books flowed out of me that year, the first one being, ‘A 100 Days of Gratitude’.
How long did it take to write and what was your process like?
I worked on it daily for about four months. It took one month to edit, and then I sent it to my editor. Keep in mind, I was working on three books simultaneously. I sat on it for over a year and then 2020 unearthed a perfect storm and then my “Guides” said, release it NOW.
How does the book serve the reader in their discovery of Gratitude?
The book is intended to just plant a seed about Gratitude and awareness of our inner dialogue that’s often, “that toxic friend, you should not be listening too”.
Why is living in Gratitude important to you?
Gratitude is my Prozac or Zoloft.
How can being grateful effect your ability to stay focused or keep on course? Being grateful, is pure acknowledgement of the now, being fully present and gives you the fuel to keep going.
Is there anything that lack of gratitude effects in you?
Not really, I acknowledge every experience good or bad as a blessing or lesson.
Do you have any processes that you use to ensure you are showing gratitude?
I would say my process is writing 10-20 things I am grateful for in the morning as part of my daily morning practice. It’s my way of centering myself before I have any interactions.
How does gratitude effect us internally and externally?
This is a great question, any form of positive energy literally changes your vibration, your DNA in way. So, when something or someone feels off, you are rooted in your awareness and can stay in alignment.
Is Gratitude an energetic moment, or a process?
It is BOTH (smile).
Is there one day’s entry that you feel represents the journey of Gratitude where we are in the world today?
You incorporate Gratitude as a thought process and action into other parts of your teaching as well, can you share some of how you do so? It’s difficult to pick one but I am feeling energetically aligned with #12. My main gift to all is my daily audio podcast called, ‘Gratitude Is A Journey’….Anchor.fm/dangelo-thompson which is also on Apple Podcast, Google, Radio Public, and Spotify.
“I am grateful to accept all the lessons the universe has given me. May I use them to propel me into a new reality. We are vessels forever downloading information. We are powerful when we are centered in awareness of lessons given to us, individually and or collectively. Use these lessons to grow and step up to the challenges of life.”
