On February 24, The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards once again celebrated the craft of the professional makeup and hair artisans in grand style. The NOVO Theater at L.A. Live was home the evening that brought together the biggest names in the business to cheer on those makeup artists and hair stylists who have help to create the most memorable, beautiful and fantastical characters in the world of entertainment this past year.

The awards were presided over by Local 706 President Sue Cabral-Ebert and were hosted, for the third year in a row, by comedian Loni Love. For the first time, red carpet arrivals and interviews were live-streamed online and were hosted by TV personality, actor and singer Frankie J. Grande. The biggest names from across our industry were in attendance along with an amazing array of presenters and guest.

Oscar winner, Gary Oldman, who was ill and was unable to appear in-person, nonetheless received the Distinguished Artisan Award, presented by actor >> Pick up the Spring 2018 Issue for the complete Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards feature.
