Gratitude.
We hear a lot of talk about this word that has become
a huge focus for so many of us.
Having a daily practice of gratitude.
Expressing gratitude.
Focusing on what you are grateful for instead of what
you do not have, or what you are disappointed about.
Having people — your people — around you who get
you and understand why you do what you do, and
why you are who you are, is one of the biggest things
one can show gratitude for.
When you find those people — your community if you
will — stick with them. Be there to support them.
Be their support. Your life and your career will both be
much more rewarding when sharing it with others who
understand your path.
It’s like finding your person. That one other human who
completes you. Accepts you. Encourages you.
Understands you.
The one who also likes to take the longer, country road
way home. The one who is mostly patient while your
trying to get the best photo of the two of you. The one
whose journey aligns like a cool, awkwardly shaped,
little puzzle piece with yours. Share your gratitude with
your person every chance you get.
The same goes for your community — your people.
Showing gratitude and appreciation, with words but
also with actions, is one of the best ways that you can
strengthen those relationships and reinforce the
connection and partnerships that bring you forward
and lift you higher.
In gratitude…
